Chess - the game of kings.! The class will cover tactics, strategy, positional play, openings, traps, and endgames. Each lesson will include chess puzzles, an illustrative game, and most importantly a chance to actually play chess. There will be a simultaneous match against the

instructor, and a tournament at the end against all the other students. Basic knowledge of how to move the pieces is required. Chess has been shown to improve memory and is a great game to play with grandkids. Chess sets and boards will be available in class. $2 copy fee.
