T18 The Shape of Loss: Understanding the Many Forms of Grief in Our Lives
with Lisa Haines, LLC
Free
Grief is a natural response to many kinds of loss, not only death. This course explores the wide spectrum of grief experiences across the lifespan, including anticipatory, ambiguous, disenfranchised, and cumulative grief. Participants will examine how grief arises from life transitions such as retirement, illness, identity changes, relationship shifts, and unmet expectations. Through discussion and reflection, students will gain a deeper understanding of how grief is experienced, expressed, and integrated, along with ways to respond to it with greater awareness and compassion. This session will meet on July 14.
