Learn about modern Israel through presenters Bob Feferman, former Community Relations Director, Omer Karavani, Israeli Emissary, and Jordan Price, Programming Director for the Jewish Federation of St. Joseph Valley. In the 1st session Omer will present, "My Israeli Story", which tells his personal story and that of his family. The 2nd session will be an overview of the Jews of the Middle East, and the 3rd session will be on "Israel the Melting Pot?" The 4th session, presented by Jordan Price, will discuss the history of the city of Safed, a center of Jewish mysticism in the 16th century. The last 2 sessions are titled, "Israel: A Struggle for Survival and Peace". Classes will meet: March 5th, March 12th, March 19th, April 16th, April 23rd. April 30th.
