W02 Creating Greeting Cards

Students will review (or learn) basic aspects of Microsoft WORD that will be used to create the greeting cards (a Microsoft Word software program can be downloaded at a minimal cost - we will assist you). Students will learn how to insert photos, clip art, & personal family images from their computer, their cell phone & from the Internet. The class will focus on inserting these images into a WORD document for printing onto special card paper. Students will also learn how to personalize their cards with names & messages. No advanced software required-just Microsoft WORD. Copy fee: $1.00, payable at the first class (includes several sheets of 62 Ib. paper). Bring your own laptop, PC or Apple. Please try to arrive early to hook up your laptop, & to connect to the FLI WI-FI (optional). We will be happy to provide individual support as needed. Co-taught by Cynthia Nikolai.
Mon27 Continuing American Mah Jongg

Have you taken the Beginning American Mah Jongg class and want to play more, with guidance? Want help seeing where your tiles are leading you? Playing with others is the best way to maintain and improve your MJ skills. We'll spend most of every in-person session playing. In between classes I will share a weekly video, where I'll demonstrate a game, narrate what I see in the tiles and how I choose what to do next. There will also be weekly optional homework and an occasional short lesson on a requested topic. Students provide their own 2025 and 2026 National Mah Jongg League cards. $5 copy fee to instructor.

Beginners and experienced players are welcome. Learn and play this exciting board/card game. Great time to meet others and enjoy a great game. Learn 2 handed, three handed, and partner cribbage. Basic math skills are helpful. Great game to share with children and grandchildren.
Thu13 Chinese Mahjong

Mahjong is a Chinese game of skill, strategy, and calculation. It is considered a "mind sport" and is fun and interesting to play. The game is played with four players using a collection of tiles divided into five or six suits. You will learn the basics of the official game and strategy tips for playing. Researchers believe that playing the game is beneficial for individuals with the beginning signs of dementia, cognitive, and memory difficulties. So, come challenge your mind with Chinese Mahjong. Stella Chan will be assisting.
Wed41 How to Successfully Declutter Your House

Kirsten Sharpe, Managing Broker and Owner of Sharpe Realty and The Realtor for Seniors™, will guide attendees through what decluttering truly means, why it’s worth doing, and the psychology behind letting go. She will share practical steps to take action and begin decluttering, along with proven strategies for staying clutter-free. The presentation also includes helpful resources on where to donate or discard items responsibly, followed by a Q&A session with Kirsten Sharpe. The session will meet on March 18.
