This course will examine how the Enlightenment and Biblical scholarship impacted and continue to impact Judaism. We will also seek to understand the Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, and Reconstructionist movements that presently exist and explore how they developed. Due to the Jewish holidays, this course will only be 7 weeks. There will be no class on Oct 3, 17, and 24.
