Drum Circle

Drum Circle is a fun, educational, and accessible musical experience that celebrates diversity, inclusion, and expression! Participants of drum circle will learn about various percussion instruments from all over the world and the proper technique for playing each instrument. The goal is for everyone who participates to discover and share their sense of rhythm which each other, even if just by clapping along! Dancing encouraged!

Explore Your Voice

Students enrolled in Explore Your Voice will learn breathing, articulation, and phonation techniques. During the course, students will work on songs they have chosen. Each week, the instructor will work with them on their songs, and by the end of the course they will have learned one to two songs and have improved their speaking and singing voices. Most of all, they will have had fun! The final class will be a recital that is open to the public.

The Art of Photography - Taking Great Pictures!

This is not a class on technologies & apps. for picture manipulation and editing. Rather, it’s all about Taking Great Pictures. What makes a good picture? Why are some pictures bland and others of the same subject more appealing? What catches our eye? Students will learn about and experiment with composition, framing, perspective, light & shadow, contrast and other elements of picture-taking through instruction and assignments, followed by sharing & critiquing pictures they have taken. They will also develop new ways of looking at the world around them. Digital cameras and cell-phone cameras are both fine.

Cozy Home Melànge

A Melànge is any combination of anything, but the word always heightens the glamour quotient. The French have a way of making simple words sound romantic. This class is my version of a “Melànge.” I will be mixing up projects and teaching different yet related subjects. “Cozy Home” is an advanced watercolor class with a $5.00 copy fee due to the instructor at the first session. This course will explore the beautiful Budapest! We will explore some of the history, architecture, culture, traditions and of course, food of Budapest and Hungary. There are so many amazing things to see and experience in Budapest. I will introduce basic vocabulary for anyone interested in travelling to Budapest or Hungary in general. I will put a booklet together for students taking this class of the topics we are discussing and resources that may be helpful. There will be a $5.00 copying fee.
