Explore when each county was established, the origins of its name, notable people, Native American tribes, battles, forts, and historic maps. Learn about canals, railroads, agriculture, industry, parks, museums, festivals, courthouses, covered bridges, colleges, scenic attractions, and the stories that have shaped each county’s identity.

Share the joy of music while serving local nursing home residents. Students will learn and perform favorite Disney songs through solo and group singing. After a couple of rehearsals we will then transition to performances at area nursing homes. Pumpkin carols will also be included in October. Total of 9 classes/performances. No class on Friday November 6.

This will be a class about the South Bend Watch Company. We will discuss the need for high quality watches, a little about how they work, the company's origins, many of the people involved, products, location, ultimate demise and aftermath. For anyone who has an old pocket watch and would like to bring it to the class, the Instructor will remain afterward to provide any information he can about the watch. Herzlich Willkommen! This course continues the work of German 1.75 with an emphasis on practical communication and correct pronunciation. Students will expand vocabulary, strengthen grammar skills, and explore aspects of German culture through songs, poems, and discussion. Those with some previous German experience are welcome.
