This is for FLI instructors only. Engaged learners are more motivated, curious, and connected—and that matters especially for senior adult learners. This interactive 75-minute session explores why learner engagement is essential and how instructors can meaningfully increase it in their courses. Participants will learn practical, easy-to-implement strategies such as think-pair-share and other proven engagement techniques designed specifically for adult learners. The session will also share ready-to-use resources and examples to support dynamic instruction. Instructors will leave with clear, actionable ideas they can apply immediately in their next class and refine for upcoming spring courses beginning in March. Lunch is at 12:00 pm; the program runs from 12:45–2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 18.
