Wed43 Walking Mishawaka History Tour

The City of Mishawaka was founded in 1833, decades before her larger neighbor South Bend. Join us for a historic walking tour of Mishawaka’s parks, led by town historian, president of the Mishawaka Historical Museum, and author Pete Dekever. Starting at Mishawka’s Beutter Riverfront Park, we’ll visit historic sights and gain a knowledge of Mishawaka’s history, from humble origins to industry powerhouse to modern day growth. Participants must be able to walk about 1.5 miles and stand for approximately 75 minutes. This opportunity is $10, and all proceeds will support both the Mishawaka Historical Museum and Forever Learning. Max of 50

M10 Drum Circle
with Vincenzo Carrasco, B.A.
Drum Circle is a fun, educational, and accessible musical experience that celebrates diversity, inclusion, and expression! Participants of drum circle will learn about various percussion instruments from all over the world and the proper technique for playing each instrument. The goal is for everyone who participates to discover and share their sense of rhythm which each other, even if just by clapping along! Dancing encouraged! This class will meet Monday and Thursday each week.
M11 Beginning Sign Language: Sign it to Say It!

Participants will learn basic fingerspelling and conversational signs that will have you 'Signing to say it.' No previous sign knowledge needed. We learn common vocabulary during each of our seven easy-paced sessions, and monitor sign clarity, rather than speed. T10 Superman and Seinfeld: A Cultural Connection

Superman is nearing nonagenarian status, tracing his U.S. introduction to Action Comics No. 1 way back in 1938. His incredible story is so ingrained in our culture that it is often seamlessly intertwined with other iconic programs like Seinfeld. The class will explore the rich history and cultural significance of Superman through the years and how Jerry’s obsession with this “strange visitor from another planet” was effectively integrated into Seinfeld, commercials, and internet marketing.
T11 Forever Euchre Club

Join us for Forever Euchre Club, a fun and social class designed for those who enjoy this fast-paced card game of strategy and teamwork! Each week, participants will gather to play friendly games of euchre in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just learning the ropes, this club offers a great opportunity to sharpen your skills, share tips, and enjoy lively conversation. No formal instruction—just plenty of cards, laughter, and camaraderie. Bring your competitive spirit and get ready for lots of fun! All skill levels are welcome.
T15 Just Do What the Song Says

This is a one-time, 50-minute dance party featuring songs that are also dances. Examples: Chubby Checker's "Twist," Freddy and the Dreamers' "Do the Freddy" and Dee Dee Sharp's "Do the Locomotion." Added this time: "The Time Warp," from Rocky Horror Picture Show. This dance party was a big hit in the Winter semester, 2026, and is back by popular demand! This class will meet on Tuesday, July 7 at Southfield Village.

Explore how to keep your mind sharp in this engaging Brain Fitness course featuring insights from Richard Restak of the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Learn how the brain works and discover practical ways to improve attention, memory, and cognitive skills. Through guided video segments and discussion, you’ll use your senses and everyday experiences to support brain health. Research shows it’s never too late to strengthen your mind using your environment and relationships. Includes five 90-minute Tuesday morning sessions.
T20 Hand Stitching
with Jeanne Peckiconis
Discover the magic of needle and thread in this friendly beginner’s embroidery class. You’ll learn three to four essential stitches, then use your new skills to create a charming, one-of-a-kind mini creation. All materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own favorites if you have them. All levels are welcome—just bring your curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to fall in love with stitching! Instructors will be Jeanne Peckiconis and Gigi Toth. This session will take place on July 7 at Clay High School.
